Rivers Nursery Orchard Site
Everyone is welcome to join in any of the activities, just bring your enthusiasm. For practical tasks no experience is necessary and all tools are provided. Please wear suitable clothing and bring a packed lunch if you are staying all day. The entrance to the Orchard is through the gates off Brook End, The Crest, Sawbridgeworth
All Maintenance Day Activities in the Orchard are from 10.30 am - 1.30pm.
Sunday 7th Feb - Winter Maintenance - Apple Tree Pruning
Saturday 9th Jan - Rivers Winter Wassail in the Orchard 6.30 pm - bonfire & activities commence.
Despite the snow and to reverse the cold snap at present Wassail is going ahead.see News page

SPECIAL AUTUMN SUNDAY
Also known as Apple Sunday, this out-of-season event is held to celebrate
the English Apple. There will be apple cakes in the Barn tearoom.
Admission Adults £4.00, Concessions £2.50, Accompanied children £1.00
Saturday 17th Oct - Apple Day in Church House, Church St/Vantorts Road Sawbridgeworth
13.00 - 16.00 which will be a very special event this year.

crop for sale on Apple Day

It was great to see wheelchair users enjoying the beautiful autumn

The Rivers Nursery Site and Orchard Group is formed by people with a common interest in their local countryside.
The Rivers Nursery site is private land owned by East Herts District Council. Access to the site is by invitation of the District Council as landowner and no public rights of access are implied.
